Defense Biometrics Identification System(dbids)What is the name of your state? SC I'm stationed in Korea and I just recieved an AR15 for a curfew violation my 1SG requested a history report in DBIDS from a MSG in my unit the request was done on a sworn statement. I was wondering is there a privacy act on dbids or a privacy policy. Can my 1SG do that. |

| The usual privacy acts and policies apply, but I don't think they help you much here. They want to access official records for official purposes. I would imagine they are trying to track your movement on/off post? That is what the system is for, isn't it? Welcome to the surveillance state. |

| Just don't sign the AR15. bring it to jag and tell them you want a hearing,by that time they should just drop it. Stay out of trouble. |

| So is DBIDS used to track entry/exit into base, barracks, work... Sounds to me like your First Sgt. is trying to see how often you broke curfew in the past... Not really a privacy issue if they are doing it for official reasons.
