Failed Urinalysis... discharge

What is the name of your state?

Hello all, i have a feeling i may be taking a urinalysis soon and I am not sure I will pass it. I am coming off of leave and my last night out I got very drunk and tried cocaine for the first time. My question is, if i fail a urinalysis, what kind of discharge will i most likely receive. I have 1 NJP (article 15) on my record for underage drinking which occured about 2 years ago-- not sure if this matters.
Also, how are each of these discharges different? I know i will probably lose my VA benefits, but what are the other things? Will i have trouble taking out college loans for example.
If i do fail a urinalysis, what things can i do to have a better chance of better discharge? my branch is the USMC. thanks.

If you are faced with a urinalysis your best move is to go to your superior officer and discuss it. When my brother in law was in basic he came home for Christmas and against my protests has smoked pot. His comment to me was "they are NOT going to piss test 15,000 soldiers." Well, two days later I got a phone call... guess what they did! Before the results came back he went to his sargent and confessed. He was simply fined and lost his rank of squad leader but wasn't discharged. Cocaine is quite a bit rougher then pot in my opinion but it wouldn't hurt you to take that road.

Keep your mouth shut... Cocaine only remains in your urine for 72-96 hours. It's not like THC (which remains for 30-45 days).

I forgot to add this earlier...

I know of a Soldier who had some family problems, etc., and made some poor choices during this period of time. He took a hit off of a joint, someone witnessed it, and he was subsequently ratted out. He was required to take a UA, and he admitted to his CoC that the incident took place.

They immediately proceeded with field grade ART. 15 proceedings, and reduced him to E-4, 45/45, loss of 1/2 pay x 2 mos. His UA results came back negative, but he will always have this on his record.
