finally discharged After 2 yrs woo hoo!

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? tx

well after 2 yrs on the run i am discharged at last with an uncharacterized and an RE-3 from the army. I did some additional digging back at my old unit and i found out that after my cycle graduated all Hell broke loose on that chain of command. Every NCO up to Battalion was FIRED by the army. They came in and Cleaned house!!!!!! Every one of em was kicked out of the military. So what happened to all the guys like me that left and never had a warrant pop they discharged us through the mail. I called and verified my status through all channels i am 100 percent Scot free Civilian with an Honorable discharge! Now the ultimate question Do i want to go back? Because what happened there back in 2007 was a bad hand of leadership that led to things i could never have imagined when signing up to serve my country. im just goanna forget the whole thing ever happened. But heres a question would i qualify for any VA BENEFITS? Time in service was shown as 1year and 16 days.

An uncharacterized discharge is reserved for those with less than 180 days of service and is not considered honorable. If you are going to make up stories get your facts straight.

With an uncharacterized discharge you would not qualify for any VA benefits. Contact your local VA office to ensure this is correct.
