1. For ALL that are AWOL/DESERTED, and want to know if there is a Federal Warrant
-~issued for your Arrest, you should contact the FBI, or your locale Police or Sheriff
-~Departments[s] for this information! Make no mistake in that once you are AWOL
-~for a time period of 30 full days or more without the required authorized permission,
-~then, you will be declared as a DESERTER, and a Federal Warrant will be issued for
-~your Arrest!

I think posting these numbers on a sticky note is Great!
Thought it might be helpful if you could add a little something to it. Obviously more ua/awol questions are being posted as recruiters need bodies, mislead and recruit/accept those they otherwise would/should not.
If you could add "Rights" between GI and Hotline and their website, girights.org, many of these questions could be answered for them there.
I feel obligated to donate to the organization. They're overwhelmed.

A clarification and update on the original post (which is great, thanks):

1. The term "deserter" has two different meanings: (1) yes, after 30 days absence, you are supposed to be given "deserter status" (though some people fall through the cracks) and have a warrant on you, but that is very different from (2) the crime of desertion, as specified in the UCMJ and the MCM. The crime of desertion involves intent either to stay away indefinitely or to avoid hazardous/important duty. So being given "deserter status" in no way implies that you are going to be charged with desertion. Thousands of people have been given "deserter status" without being charged with desertion and many have gotten administrative discharges (no court-martial, no jail time). For details, you can call the GI Rights Hotline.

2. The GI Rights Hotline underwent some reorganization since the original post, so the old number is no longer routed to the about 20 centers around the country. The new number is:
