Talking

FYI=interesting info, Glad i was not involved!

What is the name of your state? AK
Straight off the news Wire, so how do you all see this playing out? And i wonder if anyone in the command trying to fry my friend for adultrey was involved? Would be totally ironic!
Who is going to catch the brunt, the lower enlisted E-6-E-1 or the officers? will they let them retire with benfits?

FAIRBANKS -- Federal investigators from the Army and the FBI are investigating a North Pole massage parlor that they claim was a front for prostitution.

Investigators are trying to find out how often soldiers went to Lee's Oriental Massage Parlor and whether they brought others with them.

The business touted its proximity to Fort Wainwright Army Post in phone book advertising.

Soliciting a prostitute is a violation of the uniform code of military justice. Punishments can range from a verbal reprimand to a court-martial.

Lt. Col. Jonathan E. Allen of U.S. Army Alaska would not say how many soldiers are suspected of visiting the business.

"We are closely monitoring the investigation to ensure each soldier's rights are protected and that their commanders have all the relevant facts related to the circumstances of the visits," Allen said.

The owners of the massage parlor, David Kang, 49, and Yong Kang, 53, have been charged with one count of promoting prostitution.

Alaska State Troopers began investigating the business in mid-February. They contacted two soldiers outside the business who alluded to paying for sex.

Troopers said they twice saw scantily clad women working in the parlor, according to a criminal complaint.

Troopers have seized credit card receipts and videotapes. Allen said he did not know how long the investigation will take.

Poor fellows. What else is there to do in Alaska but drink and solicit prostitutes?

Alot of stuff

You could go sled down the slope on a tire when it is -50, and make sure you forget the moose you are looking for by street lights because it is so dark up here in the winter.

Or you could walk outside your house and get stomped by a moose! Always a fun thing.

During the spring you could go salmon fishing, and get eaten by a bear who was actually out fishing.

or around the 4th of July you can go and listen to the fireworks, and imagine what they would look like if the blessed sun was not out 24/7.

Oh, and lets not forget my favorite thing, shovel snow/chip ice in the winter, shovel moose poop in the summer, and mow the grass that does not die! no matter how short you cut it. If i owned this piece of hell i would concrete the entire yard!

Update

OK, so far from local media and other sources i know that they have VIDEO and CC receipts going back to 2006.
I have been told that the list contains many people including some high ranking NCO's and officers. I also know it contains some E-4 and lower.

Is it possible to get a list of the people involved through a Freedom of information request? If so can someone give me some guidance? i did the Google search and only got general info. It would be nice to see why so many high profile people are PCS'ing all the sudden.
