gone for 2 yrs new situation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? tx

ok ive been gone for 2 yrs from fort benning for bootcamp. never finished. i just called the old unit where i left from. there is a completely new chain of command there and they have absolutely NO records of me ever being there and they are like WHO are you. I want to report the trainee abuse that i endured while i was there almost 2 yrs ago. I am not pcf eligble because no DFR packet was ever done, so when i turn myself in i will be sent back to the old unit. i remember dates times and names right down to the tee of when some of these things happened. The 1sg there seemed willing to listen to what i had to say as i was asking him what my options were. He told me to head to the pcf at fort knox but i already know they will just send me back to benning so im goanna save myself some trouble and just show up at the company from where i left. It beats the heck out of an OTH discharge. Ive ran for so long i can now have a little patience and wait to be chaptered. Yes it will suck but nowhere near as bad as running for 2 yrs. Id like some advice on what i should do. Also when i was in my cycle we had over 50 AWOLS by week 7 from our company because of the abuse.

50 AWOLS from one Company by week 7? That's a whole platoon, and if that happened then something was definately wrong, and UCMJ and JAG would of been all over that prosecuting the Drill SGTs CO, and 1SGT. Basic was not that difficult. Like you, I also have no DFR packet. I called Ft. Sill and they said they coudlnt release that information if they had received it, and to turn myself in. I contacted the records department, and like you, they have no record of me, except for what I signed at MEPS. On top of all that, my Battallion from my unit was deactivated in 07. The only thing I can do is show up at Division, and tell them my story, and wait it out....Sucks....Because you left during basic, you will more than likely receive an Entry Level Seperation, OTH, or Admin. Discharge. Hopefully I can be so lucky. If you have no DFR packet, then you probably dont have a warrant either. Be safe.

yeah it was nuts man we had guys just leaving in pairs and groups because it was so bad. Give you an example of something that left a bad taste in my mind for NCOs to this date. i was standing in a bay and there some privates were told to get all the combat boots and make a pile around one of the pillars after they had finished this. they were told to dance around it and sound like a bunch of "hadgees" if you know what i mean. then the nco told em to get on their knees and worship it, and they did. I myself was choked by AN NCO just for not meeting the standard "in his eyes" when i had fully with other nco's he took me to the latrine and choked me. I never said a word to anyone. This is how bad it got. And there are other things i saw there which i will dare not even type on here because i dont ever want to think about it again.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!! i went into the mp station today at the local base. USADIP had zero info on me and thus no DFR, not that bad. IT gets better, i called the IG and CID they are EATING this alive. Within a few more days theres going to be charges filed for trainee abuse, desertion, etc against 3 NCOs that all mostly court martial offenses from what ive been told by other officers here at the base. How far down the rabbit hole goes i have absolutely no idea, but im going to find out! Apparently all hell is about break loose here and im just in absolute shock at how well the Army is taking this Seriuosly. The IG has personally made it clear to my new chain of command "you screw with this kid thats your A**" they are completely keeping me out of harms way from harassment and assault. One thing i will definitly be happy is the fact, ive been told all my AWOL charges are being dropped and the army is going to decide wether to keep me in and re assign another MOS of my choice. Or i can choose to recieve a Full Honorable Discharge on my dd 2-14 which will give me access to the new GI bill. Its going to be a Humanitarian SEP or sometihng like that is what is most likely from what im told as of right now. What an incredible ending to 2 yrs of HELL. Im definitly writing a book on this one folks when i finish!

I can tell this is all a lie because the things that you say were offered do not exist. There is no such thing as a full honorable discharge. It is either honorable or it is not. You are not eligible for the Post-9/11 GI bill or Chapter 30/1607 benefits for a myriad of reasons. Not being active duty for 90 days is probably the most major of them all. The Army has no say in your eligibility for the GI Bill. That is a function of the Department of Veterans Affairs. There is no such thing as a humanitarian separation. I would suggest you read the actual manuals before you come on this site and try to make up stories.
