and if you have lost or was never issued a DD 214, then I suggest you contact the
Headquarters of the branch of our Armed Forces your were in in Washington, D.C.

You will have to submit a SF 180 to National Archives. It will take about 6 months to get the info.

However there was a devastating fire there in 1973 that destroyed significant numbers of files.
