Hope this helps Just got back from PCF!

Well i just returned from PCF in Fort Sill OK. I got there on a tuesday and i left on friday. Don't get there any later than a tuesday though. It wasn't bad at all they don't scream or get on to you as long as you do what you are told. If you were AWOL from your basic or AIT then you will get a OTH or chp 10 but you can upgrade it in 6 months. Make sure you bring a phone card at least 20 bucks and tons of smokes!!! Tuesday they will in process you Wednesday the 1sg will read you thursday you will get your ID cards and go to ACAP(some bull**** breifing) and friday you will see JAG. They only release people on Fridays and you will leave at 3pm. If you are arrested by the police and they pay for your way there then you will have to pay all that back! If you got paid while being AWOL you will have to pay all that back! You will have to find your own way home via flying, bus, or someone picking you up! You can drive up there and just leave your car in the parking lot i think that would be the best. If i would have known it was like that i would have went up there a long time ago it was so easy and laid back! I turned myself in but most of the people were picked up by the cops and had to stay anywhere from 3-8 days in jail and then a week or more at PCF depending on the day they got there. If you have any questions feel free to ask hope this helps!!!

You are sadly mistaken about upgrading your less than honorable discharge within six
months; and if you were told this by whomever you were given mis-gross advice!

It was by a lawyer only about 1% receive an upgrade but who knows what someone reason was for leaving so they might have a damn good one. You can apply for one though!

Yes you most certainly can apply for an upgrade! And I encourage any one with bad paper
to do so even-though chances of success are slim and nil, nevertheless he or she should at
least try.

The reason that only 1% of applicants receive an upgrade is because one of two requirements need to be satisfied:
1: You were given your discharge unjustly
2: It was given in error

The argument that your reason for leaving the army was the best reason ever and you are the first person in the history of the Armed Forces to have to endure a hardship is not going to work.
