How do you turn yourself in

I am stupid , I went Awol on Nov. 17th and have been around the country burning time and i was just wondering how does someone turn themselves in? Just walk up to the nearest post and turn myself in to an MP or just go to a local cop and do it? does it matter and what is the best way because right now that is the onlything holding me back.

awol

MAke sure you are dropped from the rolls (DFR), by calling the deserter hotline 1-502-626-3711. Then turn yourself in to fort sill. If you go to the police, they will probaly call the army and then you might have to sit in jail until they come get you, not really sure how they will do it, so maybe you should go directly to the pcf at fort sill, but do what you want.

Depending on the branch you went AWOL from will depend on where to report at! As the previous memeber suggested, call the hotline for information; and the longer you put it off the more problems you will bring upon yourself!

Pretty cut and dry. What's done is done. Go to Ft. Sill, take a taxi to the front gate, get out, hand them your ID, tell them you've been awol. They will be perfectly cool about it, as they receive about 3-5 people a day. I've been there, done it. Bring smokes if you do, it's allowed.
