I want to enlist into the AF, but I have a question

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I live in Georgia. I have been since 1994. Before that was VA since 1992. Anyways, for awhile I was considering enlisting ( in fact in HS I was, but I'll explain why I couldn't for a second ) but recently decided to go fully with it.

Now, I'm a Canadian. I have a stamped I-94. An Alien Registration Reciept Card ( I-94 ), an H4, and a Social Security #. All the recruiters have told me I need a green card ( I-551 ) to enlist, but I had heard otherwise. Did my research and I found this.

"A non-citizen that is eligible to join the military must meet certain requirements: (1) Have an Alien Registration Receipt Card (stamped I-94 or I-551 Green card/INS Form 1-551), (2) Have a bona fide residence established, and (3) Have established a record of the U.S. as their home."

I meet requirement of #1. What is considered a bona fide residence for #2? As for #3, I would like to imagine due to having gone to school K-12, along with some college, all here in the US. Buying automobiles, paying my bills, even having gone through 7 years of Boyscout's to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

I, unlike a lot of other citizens that I know of, want to join to actually go somewhere in life - I'm a large fan of robotics ( in fact it's my major in college, but it's gotten expensive, and work just doesn't pay for it, and loans are really an option ), was in the robotics club for high school and competed both regionally and nationally. I'm not in it for the citizenship, although that is a bonus. This is something I honestly really wanted to do since HS ( when I scored two points shy of perfect on the ASVAB ) but couldn't back then due to not meeting any requirements.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
