Impersonating a sailor

What is the name of your state? VA

My ex daughter in law (from oldest son) has been assuming my (middle) son's identity by luring/seducing women over the internet, specifically Yahoo. She has been using his military family photos among other means to convince them she is a HIM, my son. She has perpetuated convoluted tales of 'his' life and has actually had women flying from Alaska to Virginia to meet 'him'.

She has done this at least four times we can document, and there are countless others that are probably too ashamed to admit their involvement.

It is complicated and very lurid, but the CID on base said there was no law against doing this, and the local police said that if she has not used his date of birth or SSN to procure goods she has not broken any law.

Is there ANY loophole we can use to snag her and stop what she is doing to him and our family?

A: What kind of "loophole" did you have in mind? She's an idiot and the women she's fooling are idiots. I don't think we can protect one class of idiots from another class of idiots.

As long as she has done no identification theft (and your post indicates that she has not), then there is nothing legal you can do.

Thanks for your reply. Idiot is too weak of a word, psychotic is more appropriate.

He is in Special Forces, wouldn't that make any difference? Isn't that impairing our security?

She hasn't done anything that a bunch of ugly people on the internet have done. Take someone elses picture and say it was them.

Him being SF makes no difference. Me saying I am George Bush and showing you a whole bunch of pictures "proving it" will not get me arrested.

SEALS fall under Special Forces, as do Air Force PJ's and Combat Controllers. It's no ALL army.
