inquiry for adultery

maryland -

Reservist called with Adultery charges - I am a traditional reservist and am friends with an individual who I have met online, I have never met this person nor been in the same state to my knowledge, we have been friends online and have spoken. Again i have never met this individual, I recieved a call Friday telling me that there is a commanders investigation into adultery. this is simply ridiculous and baseless since i have never even met this person. I am single and they are a spouse. No graphic emails sent, simply discussion on non topics anything related to an affair. what do I do? I am obviously upset with this as I have never even met this individual nor been in the same state. I have not been on active duty other than my 12 day AT and drills and have questions about this entire ordeal

First, verify the telephone call you received as in being legitimate; second, if it
is real, then hook-up with base legal and discuss the matter with them; and
if it was a prank call, well then, that is up to do whatever!

I believe it is a scare tactic from the spouse of the lady in question...

An official investigation is called a 15-6. You would be called to set up a time to make a statement of fact by the investigating officer. During this meeting, he would start by reading you your rights.

BTDT (all former Recruiters have). Nothing to worry about.
