kicked out for civilian conviction?What is the name of your state? AR my husband is in the military and i was wondering if they can discharge him for a civilian felony conviction. he has already been tried by a civilian court. |

| The short answer is: Yes, they can order an administrative discharge (or he could even get a punitive one) as a result of a felony conviction in a civilian court. Whether or not he gets discharged depends heavily on the circumstances: What class felony, what specific crime, military involvement/implication --- and very importantly what punishment he is given for the conviction. If he gets jail time the military is much more likely to discharge him. |
