Need some help

What is the name of your state? Michigan

Well, I am a deserter and I am going to turn myself in next week monday. I plan to go to my old base and just turn my self in a the MP station. Should I do it like this or a different way? I am going to have my mom drive me, because I think I have a warrent out. Should I bring my medical records stating that I am Bi-polar? Is this a good plan?

Turning yourself in is always a good plan.

Yes, you should bring your medical records. I would also make sure you have copies of them at home in case they get lost.

Good luck, you're going to need it.

Please refer to your post stating the same thing from April.... http://forum.freeadvice.com/showthread.php?t=40454. Stop putting it off and get it over with.

Should I call the MP station before I turn myself in to let them know that I am coming? Also, should I be in my ACUs when I turn myself in or civilian clothes?

No you should not call them first. They may apprehend you before you get to turn yourself in hence a possible desertion charge vs. a UA/AWOL charge. Even if they don't charge you with desertion they could make things harder (brig/stockade time vs. being released) because you were caught instead of surrendering.

As far as your attire, well it could not hurt to bring your uniforms and a haircut would help.

Should I wear my uniform when I turn myself in? Or do it in civilian clothes?

General rule of thought in matters like these.

There are going to be people not happy with you and demanding respect from you because they feel you have disrespected them, and what they represent.

If I were you, I would go in saying "yes sir", "no sir", "I am prepared to do that sir" etc. etc.

So yes, I would show up with a fresh uniform, a haircut, and a "I am at your mercy" type of attitude.

This guy isn't going to turn himself in. He posted the same thing with the same questions almost a month ago. Kelticfighter, you need to just man up and go turn yourself in. Don't worry about all the little things, just get in your car or get a ride and get your a** back on base.

Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation. It is better be alone than in bad company.

I am going to turn myself in. I am driving down there on sunday, then on monday I will be turning myself in. I already bought a hotel room and everything.

About the uniform thing, I was getting all my uniforms ready, and I realized they took all of my unit insignias, they even took it off of my beret. Should I just go there without any uniforms and say I wasn't at my moms house where you all sent them?

Also, with my medical records I wasn't able to get them because it takes like a week to put them all together, and you have to pay to get the copy of them. My psychologist use to be in the military and said he use to discharge people. He said I just have to tell them that I am seeing someone and perhaps bring in a recipt that I saw him. He said this will protect my privacy as well.
