NEW Ft. Knox PCF Story

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

Went AWOL because my CSM thought it would help me if he cancelled my CHAPTER 13-Unsatisfatory Performance-DISCHARGE... Enraged I left and was AWOL for 45 Days untill I got pulled over and arrested.

If you are arrested dont PANIC everything will be cool. Make sure to tell your parents to call your local state congressman. THEY CAN HELP!! I was in county jail for 5 days BUT ONLY because of a Holiday that interrupted the process.

I was released under my own free will and given airplane tickets to go to ft knox for PCF.

I had read stores in this same forum so I kinda knew what to expect.

Upon arrival at KY I went to the USO and told the Sgt. I was AWOL, he made me sign in and told me to give him the paperwork I was given in Jail.

I proceeded to the TV room with other guys that where going to BASIC and some who where AWOL just like me.

The MP's came later later in the night due to the fact that Ft. knox is 45 minutes away, we took a van ride listening to the radio talking and just having fun, NO HANDCUFFS. Upon arrival we where dropped off at the station, there they check if you have been DFRd or Dropped from rolls.

After that was checked and it was cool we went to get fingerprinted, and takedn back to get moved to the actual PCF. PCF is no big deal, is runned by local police civilians who are not mena or bad but to require you TO SHOW THEM SOME RESPECT.

You are given you linens and personal hygene stuff and some nice marshmellows to wear.
ACUS are given the next day.

Wake Up is at 05:00 formation at 0530 chow at 0630 and again at 1130 and again at 1630 and a final formation at 2200 free time starts at 1800 on Mon thru FRI and on 1300 on SAT and SUN

you will inprocess and see JAG either on MONDAY or THURSDAY and will leave either on TUESDAY or FRIDAY depending on the day of the JAG visit.

for me it went smooth inprocessed on a FRIDAY and left the FOLLOWING FIDAY due to labor day.

You dot do squat there or a BS detail here and there.

Jag is easy they will offer you the Chapter 10 OTH and you accept and go home.

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR RETURN TICKET.

hope that helps I will be lurking around if anyone needs extra help

best regards

B

When you turn yourself in at PCF do they pay you while you are there? Or do you get at least a final pay check?

It all depends on what you are seeking of him or her to assist you with.
Call and see, for [our] damn Genie stoled our crystal ball, and then had
enough audacity to go AWOL with it!

I called the number for the army on the first post but got connected to several different people. Is there a more direct number for the representatives that handle awol/dessertion? and pardon my ignorance but what kind of assistance do they offer?
