The situation:

First of all, my husband and I are both navy and in the same command. He recently informed the command he wanted to be discharged, because he is about to do an unaccompanied tour. We are about to have our first child, and he does not want to miss the birth or the child's first two years. Our command told him the only way they would discharge him would be for an unauthorized absense, further stating they would also discharge me for aiding and abetting. Is this a valid threat? I really do not want or need a discharge.
