Still waiting for Separation

What is the name of your state? California

Short derserter story. Enlisted in the Regular Army in May of 1999. My first child was born in June while I was off in Basic. Six months later, finished Basic and AIT then meet my son for the first time. Never reported to my first duty station. Then two years later got caught coming through immigrations during international travel. Extridited to Fort Sill and went through the same thing as others on this forum. The same thing, except for the fact that I was given indefinite excess leave orders with a new ID card that expired 4 years from that time. I've been back home since then.
Up until now I still have not received any separation papers or judgement towards my case. I have stated in a written statement, that I was affaid of the consequences of my actions and I wanted to return to the Army. I regret leaving and I was a high-speed soldier who loved the Army despite my personal issues. Has anyone else experienced or heard about this situation. I was curious to know if this request to stay in, is the reason for the delay? Can I still plead my case? What should I do? I ask myself, am I still in or out of the Army?

Are you still receiving pay and benefits?

As far as pay benefits, no. The orders that were issued to me stated unpaid excess leave. But the 2001 I.D. card I was issused in fort sill, expired in 2005. I haven't tried to get a new one. I'm afraid I might stir something up, trying to follow-up on my situation with Army personnel. They ask too many questions and try to threaten me saying I'm going to get locked up for years, who's my commander, go back to fort Sill and i'll get arrested again. My orders say Indefinite excess leave on them. But how long is indefinite with the army?

Until you inquire with Army Headquarters in Washington, D.C. you nor any crystal
ball will be able to answer you affirmatively!

Would you have any contact info for the Army HQ. Or should I muster up the courage and inquire with Fort Sill? Anyone else have any suggestions?
