Pay when in military-college/sponsorship when enlisted

What is the name of your state? Denmark

My boyfriend is going to start in a military-college for civil-engineering, after he finishes boot-camp.
Do anybody know if he will be paid as and if he will get the benefits throughout college, as he will when he starts as an officer 4 years later0?

And, just a question more; Is it true that when my boyfriend is enlisted he can from day one, sponsor me because of his enlistment?

What program is he in, what contract? Where is he going to school? If you are to be sponsored as a fiancee he will have to marry you within the alloted time, he simply can't sponsor you because he is enlisted if you and he are not otherwise qualified. Will he be able to support you? Is he a US citizen?

Are you asking if your BF is going to be able to sponsor you to come to the U.S. while he is attending college on a military education program?

1- That's an immigration question.

2- If it's a "bootstrap" program he will be getting school expenses plus the salary of an E-5 if I remember right. But some programs pay school expenses plus a stipend, which is less.

Truthfully, for him to sponsor or support you while taking a full load of engineering classes and fulfilling other military requirements is asking for failure. If you want to do him a big favor....if you really love him...back off and let him get through this program by himself. He is not going to have time for a wife or family.

I just want to point out that if your boyfriend will be attending one of the Service Academies, there is no way he will be permitted to sponsor you. Those in attendance at a service academy are not permitted to marry.

That is true, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. On graduation day, one of my classmates showed up with his wife and two kids. The look on our AOC's (Air Officer Commanding -- the officer in charge of a squadron of cadets at the Air Force Academy) face was priceless. I understand that it is happens every few years.

They registered her as a dependent with proof of the marriage after graduation -- while they didn't get any back dependent pay, they were good to go going forward.

Heleneee i am curious have you met your boyfriend personally yet? Why i ask this because you listed your location as Denmark! Moreover, if you have not realy met him in person, then yes Homeland Security Immigration will most likely have to be contacted and the proper forms filed; this you both can do but what a full plate you will carry; though my sis has been married for 40 years and military was not involved [except me] There used to be mail order brides, now in our 21st centry comos; we have the internet which i wholeheartly have found my bride to be, Amen. Woops, forgot mountain i carry; then i pray we will be married. Don't give up unless there is no other rightful course! Best to you both.
