Question to quiet friend

What is the name of your state? California

My husband is in the Airforce, I moved out of our home in December 2006. I have a friend that is telling me to go to the Admin office on base to collect - said money for spouse. I have not heard of such a thing, can someone tell me if the military gives extra living money for the spouse? I want to zip my friends mouth quiet with proof. I tell her I am not hurting for the money, I actually make a better living then the spouse in the Airforce.

If he lives off base, you are entitled to the BAH he is collecting.

If he still resides in on-post housing, you get nothing.

If he lives in the BEQ/BOQ, you are entitled to BAH for the ZIP code you reside in.

Unless he is living on base. In that case, she is entitled to the housing itself, and nothing more (since she is able to work).

The law changed in 2003 to protect troops from lazy spouses who would camp out in housing, purposely delaying divorces while the troop was forced to give her money on top of the housing.

If you are able to work, you are entitled to housing only. If housing is available on base, that's what you get, nothing more.
