Slrp

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AZ

2 years ago I enlisted in the army and one of the incentives I was given was SLRP. I did some searching and found a loan that fit my needs it is the Wells Fargo Education Loan. 2 months prior to receiving any money from Wells Fargo I asked the Army's SLRP LRP staff if this loan was payable by the program. Now that I am coming closer to the 1 year maturity mark of the loan I am hearing they may not pay because it is not a federal loan. If they chose not to pay is there any course of action I can take?

I was just informed by a SLRP representative that private loans taken out after Jan. of 2008 are repayable by the SLRP program. I know it was very hard to find this information for myself and I hope others can take advantage of my experience
