starting an investigation for wrongdoing?

What is the name of your state? tx

i am thinking about asking somone in the army to do an investigation into my old chain of command back at fort benning because we had 53 awols my cycle because of alot of illegal stuff the drill sgts were doing to privates including myself, i witnessed along with others alot of abuse harassment and other things, these people did some really messed up stuff that should never have happened and i want to get some payback on them, is there anyway an investigation could be done and charges brought against these NCOS for doing what they did?

just wandering!

Anyone can report a violation of the UCMJ. You can do it. Write down what you believe was illegal with as much specificity as possible -- dates, names of offenders, names of possible witnesses, etc. You can mail it to whoever is currently the CO of your old unit. Or to his boss, etc. But if your report is not "timely" there isn't likely much that can or will be done.

Yeah I agree!

Yeah my husband just left there after like 1wk, and the stuff that they where doing to them just does not seem right. I think what are soldiers are doing in the first place needs to be honored but they do not need to be treated like garbage. They need more respect. The things he was telling me was prettty crazy. If our country thinks what Hitler did was wrong then they need to address the situation going on here in are own country. And if there are people that think that it is right, they must be pretty messed up in the head to begin with. He was also at Fort Bening. So I will have him read this and add his thoughts for you. Maybe you can get a whole group together. As of now from his platun there have been 6 people of have gone AWOL. AND this is the end of there 2nd week. Its not looking good by far. But yeah they should get in trouble how they treat people. They want you to respect them but where is the respect for you all?

you guys are A-holes, and you know who I am talking about. You are probably Sergeant in the army, in Georgia. Why does my spelling matter if you can still read what I am talking about. Sorry I don't proof read my stuff but my point still gets across. This is not freak in English class. Thanks if you don't want to comment about the topic then don't comment at all thanks.

OH PLEASE! Your hubby went awol from Basic because he missed his son. Should have thought about the whole war thing before joining, don't ya think?

Thankyou that he is gone! My son is serving, and would never want your hubby in his squad.

oky

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oky thanks to everyones response very helpful. And to you know who its not that he could not handle it physically he could not handle it mentally. He could not stand being away form his son. And also he did not want to go fight in a stupid war that makes no sense. But anyways. I finally got to call the GI Rights people and hopefully all this will be over sooner then later. I have seen tho there are a ton of people that have went throgh this. And I am hopeing for a good out come.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.
