I was recently caught stealing from a corporation, its under 50 dollars and I'm about to go to basic training. I haven't told my recruiter about it what will happen if i don't.

You wouldn't start off your career on a very good note by hiding this from the guy trying to get you a job. You will absolutely be bitten in the butt later if you do not take care of it now. The best thing for you to do is tell him so you can keep your ducks in a row.

Is this just what you say or is there some sort of law that is backing what you say. I live in Texas as i haven't previously stated that and I believe Texas laws say that theft under 50 dollars is a class C misdemeanor.

There will undoubtedly be consequences for you if you fail to disclose this information prior to entering the military. There are various regulations and situations that would make you not being honest detrimental to your career. Talk to your recruiter and get this situation behind you. The judge and DA will generally be sympathetic to dropping such trivial charges against a young man on his way to active duty.

Thanks for your input. But I've already been to court and the DA gave me a fine already after explaining my situation.

You are lucky to have been let go with just that. You should be thankful he was so lenient. Now go call your recruiter and tell him what you did.

And perhaps tell him about the other theft.
