Question

turning myself in soon

i went awol approximately a year and a half ago due to family issues. i'm going to turn myself in soon but was wondering if there is a possibility to request to finish the time in contract, i had almost 2 and a half years left in my contract. i understand that it might be almost impossible to ask for that but i wanted to get someone else's point of view on that. thank you.

You can ask but expect your feeble attempt to finish your voluntary obligation to be denied.

Actually buddy if you're willing to complete your contract that will allow you to do so. Every single person who turned themselves in at Ft. Sill was given that option and a few of them actually did. Expect at least a Company grade Article 15 when you get back but If you want to stick it out for the remainder of your contract good luck to you. Also remember under those circumstances an honorable discharge (assuming you do finish your obligation) is not a guarantee.

Wish you the best buddy.

It is strange that you seem to have circumvented all legal regulations in each of your endeavors you have described in this forum. I am going to have to wave the B.S. flag and ask you to please refrain from posting more falsehoods and fairy tales. I have reviewed countless stories of dishonorable returns to PCF and have not seen one account that backs up your ridiculous claims. In most cases your advice would be irresponsible but in this case it may give this poster the glimmer hope needed to return and remove this weight from their shoulders.

Refrain from posting? I'll do no such thing.

I've been AWOL before and I know how it feels. If you feel I'm lying then I suggest you pay me no mind, but I'll be open and frank with anyone who respectfully inquires on an issue that I have knowledge of.

Feel free to post accurate information but your personal fantasies regarding these issues have no place in this forum.
