USMC Med Board

I'm a Cpl in the Marine Corps. Been on active duty for 3 yrs now. I've had knee problems since early high school. I recently injured it again. Problem is; my knee is in such a condition it hinders me from running, the pain is too extreme. Doc put me on limited duty for 30 days, and I'm seeing a civilian specialist. I love being in the Corps, but I need to do whats best for my future out of the Corps. What can I expect from a Med Board if there is no surgery readily available to fix my knee? My knee will only be 100% if I could get a total knee replacement, but the Doc says I'm too young. How do I speed the process up, so I dont get thrown around back and forth from Doc's and Boards?
