Want to join the military(wife mia)What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado My wife left me over a year ago and took our daughter I don't know where she is, I'm in the process of joining the military, I don't really have the money for divorce right now if I wait until I join and then get divorced will she be able to take my benefits ex: retirement pay, housing allowance, and such things? |

| Your wife is only entitled to your retirement if you are married for half the time of your enlistment (i.e ten years) so you have a little while to figure that out. She may be able to claim some of your housing allowance but the simple remedy to that is to live on base until you can divorce her. Hope it all works out for you. |
