7 years no help

I live in the great State of Tennessee. My husband and I have been divorced for 7 years. Both of our names and on the deed and title to the house. I had to refinace the house and his name is not on the loan. I have been paying on the house for 7 years by myself and was wondering if there was any way I could sale the house in the future without him getting any money out of it. For all practical purposes, he has abandoned the house, myself and his child. My ex-husband lives just next door like a vulture waiting for me to fall on my face and loose this house.

Please explain what I can do, if anything to get his name off this property. It just doesn't seem right that his name can remain on the deed when he is not contributing and has been gone this long. Can I make a property claim for the house and land?

Please help me and thank you so much in advance for your services today! What is the name of your state?

What do the divorce papers say? Why didn't you Atty make sure this did not happen? I suspect that there is some clause as to his share if the house is sold. IF that is true can you buy out what he is entitled to?

Finally see an Atty who can go over everything with you since we can not see any of your paperwork.

How did you understand this post?

Are you talking about your current husband or your ex-husband? The person who is your ex who lives NEXT DOOR has abandoned you and your kids? Even though he lives next door? Or, is this a different ex-husband?

We are talking about my one and only Ex-Husband that lives next door. I simply want to know if I have any recourse in removing his name from title and deed, since he hasn't helped pay or support this home.

What did your divorce decree state, in regards to the ownership of the house? Why didn't you get this taken care of when you refinanced?
