bankruptcy and foreclosure

What is the name of your state? Ca.

I am listed as a joint tennant on a house with boyfriend....his credit is shot, mine is not...we are splitting up. What happens if he files brankrupt? Do I lose my part/rights to the equity? (which is alot). Do I have any recourse? What would you suggest I do if he does this?
Thanks for any help you can give me...
