Buyer rights after closingNC - I just refinced my 3 year old home 2 weeks ago with a brokerage company. The company used a lender that put me into an FHA loan. Now, (2 weeks later) the broker is saying that the lender is requiring a pest inspection at a cost of $75 to me. If I refuse the broker says the lender can recall my loan. I have refused to pay for the inspection because the request is being made 2 weeks after closing. I feel the request was supposed to be made during settlement and completed before closing. An appraisal said that the pest inspection was not required. Does the lender have the right to recall my loan if I refuse to have the pest inspection done? |
