Change of Landlords

What is the name of your state? West Virginia
I have a month to month lease with a realtor for the house I am living in, last month this lady came to the house and said she owned the house and the realtor failed to buy the house from her on an agreement they had for the house. I haven't received any thing in writing from the realtor or this lady claiming to own the house. This lady is now sueing us for damage and rent owed to her, we do not have a lease with her, we do have a lease with the realtor. We also payed a secruity deposit of 750.00 when we moved here, they both claim that the other one has our deposit and that we will not get our deposit unless we sue for it. We have not paid rent to any one this month because we have not received anything in writing as to who we need to pay rent to. We are moving out and the realtor and this lady both new of that on the 10th of Jan, we are moving on the 1st of March. Can she sue us? And also didn't we have to be given something in writing on the change of landlords?
