Class Action Law SuitWhat is the name of your state? Georgia I have a settlement for a class action law suit. I was asked to sign the agreement so all persons that are part of this law suit may get paid. I do not agree with the amount that I am asked to settle for. I asked for the total amount of the settlement and my lawyer will not give me this information. Is this legal? I feel I need to know this information in order to make a reasonable request for a new individual settlement amount. |

Why do you think lawyer won't tell you?Perhaps because he can retire and move to Tahiti on the fee he is getting. |

| I kind of have a question about this thread. Can the OP even hope to "request an individual settlement" if he is part of a class action? I thought you had to opt out if you wanted your case to be special, but if you were part of a class action, all class members get the same amount? |
