Commitment letter

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin

We are buying a house and had to provide a commitment letter to the sellers. We felt the information in the letter provided more info than they needed to know (gift amount, interest rate, mortgage payment etc...). Our buyer's agent informed us this was all public information. Is this true?

After closing, the lender will record a Note and mortgage on the land records. This will show the amount financed, interest rate and monthly payment. The gift info will not be available to the public.
