My wifes ex husband is still on the loan on our house because we cannot qualify to refinance in our name,the house was awarded to my wife during the divorce agreement. We got behind on payments due to employment issues and have since reached an agreement with our lender to restructure the payment amount to help catch us up (6 months ).However this has put negatives on her exhusbands credit score and he says he is taking legal action against us to force the sale of the home which has now been leased by us to a good family for 1 year that ends in february of 09. does he have any ground to stand on and are we responsible for damages to his credit. we are sorry for what happened and have not missed any payments since our agrement with the lender (4 payments ).please helpWhat is the name of your state?

Is his name still on the deed?

He probably does have some cause of action, but what options he has depends on whether he still owns the property and what the terms of the divorce property settlement was.
