my daughter has been in a morgage since feb of 04 they have perfect credit and good income they got approved for 1st time home buyers found their land and picked out a modular home they have gotten nothing but the run around!!their first land did not appraise out they needed $3000.00 more cash up then they found other land that appraised out went in finally in nov and signed a commital note now yesterday they were told that the underwriters are saying this land appraised to low and they had to come up with $5000.00 to complete it all. the guy from the morgage company has told her on the first land they lost because of time that she needed to write a letter saying the people backed out not it appraised too low what is going on she has filed a complaint with the attorney generals office because of it taking almost a year and still they are coming up with more junk and are not near closing. can they file for breach of contract on the commital letter or what possible recourse do they have????
