| | | a deed in lieu of What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I am interested in knowing what a "deed in lieu of" in Florida. I live in Texas. I co signed on a property that my son bought and now can not pay for . What are the consequences for me? I received a document from a lawyer in Florida stating that a lawsuit has been filed against me.
