My husband tried to help my son by financing sa mibile hime for him in his name. We own our own home outright, no mortgage. Unfortunately my son defaulted and they repoed the home and sold it. We are now gerting calls from a collection agency with talk of a deficiency judgment against my husband and I. We have very little other than our home. Some credit cards with no balances and 1 with a small balance. They wanted us to take out cash advances to pay them a 54,000 deficit. I told them we wouldn't do that and they said we will be sorry if we don't because of what they can do. My husband is disabled and our only income is social security disability and VA disability. We have learned our lesson about helping our son now, but my question now is what can they do to us? | |
