| Ex-soon-to-be is buying a house What is the name of your state? WI.
My soon to be ex-wife is forging ahead and buying a house so that she can move out (btw she broke the wedding vows). Her finance company (not a broker) sent me a note indicating that liability for this property/loan will not be extended to me. Her name is not on either the title or deed to my house as i owned it before we got married, so my house loan didn't show up on her background check it seems for the house she is attempting to buy. First of all is it possible in WI for liability not to be extended to me during or after our divorce, regarding the property she is buying. Second, who does "the note" need to come from (lender I assume), and what kind of verbiage/signatures need to be on it for it to be binding. All the divorce attys (and me) seem to be struggling with this one.. |
