Foreclosure with bankruptcy

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FLORIDA

My wife and I recently filed chapter 13 and surrendered our Florida home for foreclosure. Our bankruptcy lawyers included the surrendering of the home after we filed for chapter 1.
Yesterday I was served the foreclosure papers and a response is required within 30 days.

Our Bankruptcy lawyer told us that he doesnt represent us for the foreclosure but only filled the surrendering of the home and that we will be fine in the foreclosure case due to filing of the chapter 13.
Does this sound right? Or are we being miss led here?
