Foreclosure legal????

What is the name of your state? Michigan

My mom got behind in her mortgage and was trying to get it caught up to avoid foreclosure. Everytime she made the payment, that her mortgage company told her she need, by the date requested by the mortgage company, they would send it back to her and tell her that she needed more. This went on a couple of times and the last time she submitted by the date required they sent it back and said that they were foreclosing. Is this legal??? She met each and every deadline and they constantly wanted more money.

Now she has been foreclosed on and can't get financed. Her credit score is too low and her income is minimal. She has a year to either refinance it or move out.

I want to know if what AMERIQUEST did was legal if she met every deadline with the correct amount of money.

Thank you,

A concerned daughter

That is not what your post says:

My mom got behind in her mortgage and was trying to get it caught up to avoid foreclosure.

She got behind (that means she was in default) so the lender foreclosed. Perfectly legal.
