Foreclosure nightmareWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OH My mortgage company filed for a foreclosure over $3.00. As soon as we found out we made every attempt to fix their mathematical error but they wouldn't even talk to us. By the time we were able to sort everything out the foreclosure had been set for an auction date. It was, of course, stopped but it is still on my credit. Can I get that off? |

| An attorney can do wonders for that. If you cannot afford an attorney contact legal aid and ask if they can find someone to help you through the Save the Dream program.

| You can also file a complaint with the 3 credit bureaus. They will investigate and negative reporting can be removed if justified. |

The lender has already determined it was a foreclosure, they will just confirm that it is indeed reporting correctly... OP needs to contact a lawyer OR speak directly to the lender... Once the OP can get the lender to agree it was a mistake and provide written documentation of such, than OP can contact the credit bureaus or have the lender do so themselves. Its will be a classic case of the left hand now knowing what the right hand is doing...
