foreclosure process?

i am in atlanta ga. and i am facing foreclose. i have read somewhere that if the attorney does not advertise the true name of the owner of the loan and not just the servicing comany that this would be an illegal foreclosure... is this true? for example i make my payments to wamu which is the servicing company for wells fargo the owner of the loan or owner of the investment. please let me know if i am on the right track and where can i find the law that states this? i need to file something with the courts to stop this foreclosure without filling ch 13 bk. thanks.
