Foreclosure Repercussions

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California,

My home is currently in the process of a Short Sale, If this falls thru and my home goes into foreclosure, can the School district sue me for past due taxes not paid. Also I have a judgement filed against me and plan on filing bankruptcy, can this judgement follow me after the bankruptcy.

Foreclosure or Short Sale

The lender does not care one way or another if I foreclose or do a Short Sale, they said they will still come after me for money owed on there loss. Does it matter either way if I'm filing bankruptcy?
