What is the name of your state? Florida

What are the consequences if someone does not respond to a foreclosure letter that states that you have 20 days to do so? The letter was from an attorney representing the lender and it was hand delivered in the form of a summons.

If you don't respond the lender will go to the court and have you found in default and get the final judgment which will set the foreclosure date. It just speeds up the process and possibly denies you the ability to protest some of the amount they are claiming.
