Get SSI if property is mortgaged and asset worth <3k?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana I know someone on SSI can't own assets of more than $3000. So if they buy property but it's mortgaged for the entire amount or more, they can still get SSI until they build up $3,000 in assets, right (until the value becomes $3,000 more than they owe)? Thanks! |
