has somone xperienced this ??

hi everybody and i will be so happy to have your help with my case,here is whats going on.
i have been divorced a year ago now after getting divorced we went to have the marital settelment agreement done i gave my ex husband the house and the fornitures and the car ,i put downpayment in the house 10K and the car 2K and the fornitures 1K well,before signing the agreement he told me that he would pay me back after a while but we did not put that in the agreement that he owes me 12K now its been a year and he wants me to sign the quitclaim deed i refused because i want my money back ,he hired a lawyer and i got a letter from the lawyer saying that i will have nothing because i already signed the agreement so i have to sign the quitclaim deed too,i want you to tell me what to do how can i have my house back or my money? thanks i cant afford a lawyer i dont have money .

That is one long run on sentenance.

You've already signed the agreement, right?

You screwed yourself and frankly I am surprised your lawyer let you do this in the first place. If you wanted him to pay you for all that stuff you should have had it in the agreement.

Why has it taken a year for you to sign the quitclaim. That should have been done a long time ago.

What would you like us to say. You signed an agreement giving him everything with no provisions in it to be reimbursed for anything.

Now you look like a bitter ex-wife who is out for revenge. No matter what he told you if it is not in the agreement it never happened.

You got divorced for a reason, one of them would probably have to do with trust. So why did you trust him to just give you 12k

If you had a written settlement agreement and it requires you to sign the quitclaim deed then you probably will have to sign it. The other money he owes you may be a separate matter from the requirement to sign the quitclaim deed. More info is needed...
