Question

help

What is the name of your state? California. It has been two years since Ive owned my home and cant afford the payments. I solely pay for everything in my household with 11 people living in it including my mortgage. I cannot afford it any longer so I was thinking of doing a short sale? My mortgage payment will increase from 2300$ a month to 3100$ not including tax and insurance. I cannot afford it .

You cannot make the decision to do a short sale, that is solely up to the mortgage company. They will not even consider it until you are behind in your payments.

Unless the other 10 people in the home are children, they should be contributing to the household. Tell them to start kicking in some money or move out.

Should You File Bankrupcy??

Yes**************IF you want to keep your house! BUT first if you have an FHA loan you NEED to call HUD (main office is in Houston TX) and they have some options that may help you! My house just forclosed in June 07 and I have learned so much in the process but too late for me!! You need to get a realtor and put in on the market right away as is. If/When you do go into forclosure status you can contact your mortgage company anytime and tell them you would like to get a Short Sale Packet mailed to you**************..it will have a list of items/forms you will have to fill out and fax back to them EVERYTHING on the list and they will approve it or not.....NOTE: if you let your home forclose it is very hard even to get an apt.....unless you want section 8 so you really need to sell it or do something before it happens to you!! Good Luck!

Hey, if you can hang on a few months the states will start bailing idiots who got into these situations out. Another form of rewarding very stupid, bad, irresponsible behavior.

If any of those 11 people are over the age of 17 they should be working somewhere doing something.
