What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? tx
I bought a house with my now ex boyfriend.Both our names were on the mortgage.We split up and i moved out.I tried to get my name off the house several times and gave the bank my new address and info and told them what was going on.The ex said he was going to refinance to get my name off but apparently didnt.He got way behind and eventually just up and moved out and left the house to go into foreclosure.I was not aware of any of this!I never recieved any notices or anything.I feel that i should have been contacted or notified in some way before it went onto foreslosure that this was going on.My name is on the mortgage so why was i not contacted.Now i have a foreclosure on my credit and im in need of a house but not going to be able to get one with that on my credit.If i hd been notified i could have taken over the house and all would be well.Is there anything i can do?Pleas help
