Homeowners Association Summons(Illinois) Our Homeowners Association received a summons since a unit in our association is going into foreclosure. The summons states we need to respond within 30 days. We understand that any outstanding dues from the unit will be subordinate to the lender's claim for the mortgage. However, what is the process for us to "respond/answer"? Are we supposed to write a letter to the court simply stating we understand our claim to outstanding dues is subordinate? We would just like to know the process for how to respond. |

| Your HOA legal counsel should be able to answer this question...

| Wow, gee thanks. In other words: rather than providing "free advice" we should hire an attorney. I am aware we can hire an attorney. I was actually wondering if anyone else had been through this and could provide some feedback without us having to hire an attorney. |
