house repossession

What is the name of your state?manchester england
if my home is repossessed and is sold for more than my mortgage who get the extra money

speaking as a consumer, as far as i know the actual owner gets to keep the proceeds. but in England, perhaps it goes to the Queen?

Here in the US- The Judicial sales company (or company that auctioned your home off) HAS to mail you any amount of surplus. In order to get the surplus- you have to get a court order.
