| | | How can they do that??? What is the name of your state? SC
I am in the process of trying to reinstate my mortgage loan. I got two payments behind and was served a summons on 12/27. I was expecting the reinstatement to include: the two late payments, late fees, and the attorney's fee for preparation of the summons.
Well...the attorney's fee is over DOUBLE the amount of the two payments that I'm behind! This makes it almost impossible for me to get the money together! I was expecting $500 max for the attorney fees! How can they just charge any amount like that? How can you protect yourself from dishonest attornies charging any amount they choose? Again, this attorney represents Wells Fargo (my mortgage company) so I have no choice in the matter. Should I contact the bar association for an investigation request? Thanks for any input. What is the name of your state? | |
