How long for the home to go into forclosure?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

I have not been able to pay my mortgage for 4 months. The lender wants me to apply for the HAMP program. I will know qualify because my income is unreported. My contractor boss pays me in cash. I have no w2 or 1099's.
My salary has been cut 22% a week from $1600.00 now down $1250.00 per week. But my salary comes from an old school contractor that pays me in cash. I don't feel that my lender will qualify me via the Hamp program.
How long could I expect to live in the home without making any payments?
Remember I will ask for the 4 postponements I am in titled to. I will also ask the court to have the lender Produce the Original Note. All this could by me a few more month?
So how long could I realisticly stay in the property without making a payment to the mortgage? Remember NJ is a Judestial State. And there court rooms are over flowing with Forclosure cases. My quess between 9 months to 14 months maybe more?.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

By "old school contractor" you mean someone who operates illegally?
Since you claim no docs for the income, I assume that also means you are ducking paying taxes on it as well.

NJ has a pretty slow foreclosure process as you note, and you've certainly read up enough on how to game the system to your advantage. I'm not sure what you want from us. It looks like you can string this fraud out for over a year easily.

I am guessing he is operating illegally by not paying union wages. Therefore paying me in cash. No, I am not ducking paying taxes. I was employed with a company for 22 years. They went out of business 2 years ago. I was collecting unemployent and burning thru my savings and 401k. wife got sick, hospital bills grew.wife died funeral cost etc.
I could not get a decent job. Then in January I get the job from the contractor. When the time comes to file my taxes for 09, I will. So please FlyingRon, with all do respect, don't assume or pass judgment so quickly.
I am just trying to get a mortgage modification, and without verifable income it becomes a daunting task. I will take them thru the whole process if need be. I will not be comitting any fraud, only doing what the court system will allow me to do.Thank you for hearing me .

Union wages are not a law.
Employing people and not treating them as employees for tax and other purposes is the ILLEGAL part.

Have you been making the required estimated tax payments on your income? You have a rather large tax bill coming up (with potential penalties) if you haven't. Your tax return and tax payments would probably go a long way to helping you with HAMP.
